Staaaaand and be NOT moved!

March 30, 2014
I know this is getting a little old but.....what the heck!! Time is flying!!! It blows my mind away that another week has gone by and there is about 2 weeks left of this transfer!! I feel like I just picked Soeur Obel up in Lyon....psych! We did a spiritual thought with the Family Munn where everyone created their own Banner, just as Moroni did in the Book of Mormon. We were drawing things that were important to us. Things we would always defend in this troubled world. As I was finishing up my banner I looked over at Lilia's (7yrs old) banner to find a couple of the exact same items on her banner as mine. In fact, she had drawn a sun in the exact same way as I had, she clearly had copied mine. I then look over at Abilgale’s to find once again the exact same sun. I began to chuckle to myself thinking how funny it was that Lilia had copied from me and Abigale had copied from Lilia. I then realized a simple but powerful truth. People see and notice what we do. Our actions, example, and deeds are watched and sometimes even copied. We each have an impact on those around us. The big question from this tale is: in what way will we influence those around us? The kids in this tiny branch adore us missionaries. In fact Lilia sat and stared at me the entire Sacrament meeting. I finally handed her my tag and her faced beamed as she pinned it on her dress. It about brought me to tears. My loved ones! The biggest thing I learned this week is we are the examples to the world. How you live, what you do, and how you treat others matters. I watched two very inspiring Mormon messages that talk about how we treat others and how our actions have a huge influence the course of our lives and the lives of others.

Watch them and be inspired. I feel sooo blessed with the opportunity I have to stand and be and example of the believers! "I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father who loves me and I love him. I WILL STAND AS A WITNESS OF GOD AT ALL TIMES AND IN ALL PLACES." This gospel is true, right, and the only way to live to find happiness. There is no such thing as a fence. You have to put both feet in the game to play...otherwise you find yourself sitting on the bench. So sit on the bench and be miserable or come join me in the game!!
This week we had a huge Zone Conference in Geneva. I forgot that is was "cool" to go to Swiss! (because most missionaries don’t get the chance) Its become so normal to me...I need to start remembering the little blessings. As on of the many Richardson sayings go: “You want to make it a big deal...MAKE IT A BIG DEAL”. haha There were 5 zones there! So the chapel was BURSTING with missionaries!! I got to see loads of my friends!! Elder Happi, Soeur Pape, Elder Truman, Soeur Luthi, Elder DuPre....bon en bref, loads and loads!!  It was such a dream!! So fun to talk to the missionaries and see the changes that have happened!!
We had loads of great rendezvous! Soeur Tabka has been to church twice now. #holla. We ate lunch with her...delicious salmon. #booya. I am now a complete addict to Salmon!! You can put that on the menu for my return ;) This Sunday we did role plays with the members...it actually went very well!! They are really trying very sincerely to be missionaries. It’s so adorable! The change in amazing! We had about 6 of the members tell us how they have started the process of belief sharing with coworkers, clients, and friends. Their confidence is growing in themselves and their savoir Jesus Christ! We were practicing how we were going to do the role-plays while waiting for a bus and we had a random stranger critique us! It was hilarious. At first he was very hesitant but then he started getting really into it! Giving us great feedback like, "make it more of a personal testimony." or "make you are speaking from you heart" unfortunately we didn’t have time to exchange numbers because his bus came...but the next missionaries that meet him are going to have no problem getting a rendezvous!
I just want to bear my testimony on how much I love being a missionary. I LOVE IT. Words can’t express the deep gratitude and love I feel for this opportunity to see the miracles of God happen every day. Miracles. Happen. Every. Day. Christ is our Savoir. This church has the true power of God on the earth, which makes all things possible. We are unstoppable as long as we have the faith to back it up. We are literally unstoppable. Be thou an example.

With all my love and support, trying my very hardest to be my best,
Soeur Richardson
